Tiny Home Building Courses
Solo, Family & Group ~ Online & In-person
We love teaching people skills that help them literally build their dreams, grow confidence, save money, get a job in construction, and build for/teach others.
We've taught 40 people so far through in-person apprenticeship, online solo courses/mentoring, and in-person group workshops. You can choose one, some, or all of these modules: design, anchoring, framing carpentry, siding, roofing, doors/windows/skylights, electrical, water systems, waste systems, power systems, heat/insulation systems.
Two courses are available ongoing ~ solo mentoring online, 20 x 1hr over 1 or 3 months, your choice; group workshop in your community, 9 x 8hr over 2 weekends/1 week. Other courses are custom to your request. Click here to discuss.
Most skills are taught in a way you'll be able to use for a lifetime and variety of building and renovation projects
All are taught following principles of health and safety from a human, environmental and insurance standpoint.
Attention is given to welcoming people looking for good social dynamics, safety/environmental practices, and other aspects of a construction environment. Everyone gets equal question time and tool time, from the standpoint that anyone can learn if shown the right starting points and given a supportive chance to practice.
In 2023 we want to help more families learn together to build up their home and land and learn deeper by teaching each other. Love to hear what you need and would like to do.
Teaching is available in English, French and Spanish. No online videos at present, all is live.
